Dear Senior Committee,
My name is Drennon Murray and I am a senior at John Muir 2011 graduating class. For my senior project I would like to base my graduation project on the different mythologies within different continents and ancient religions. I have always been interested of the different myths that ancient civilizations used to define the change of seasons or the Earth was formed. I plan on explaining how they could have believed that supernatural beings could have possibly created the planet and all it the seasons, elements, and natural disasters.
At the moment I don’t have a mentor, but I believe I can possibly contact someone in a college professor in mythology. My audience is mainly going to be informed about the different messages that are explained in each myth. As well as how the people in those civilizations could have thought those entities could have created the world and all that is in it.
I’m going to look up all the myths that are mentioned in many civilizations. I will then put all these myths into a blog for all who wish to look at these myths. This will help me broaden the minds of my audience and I so others can be more open minded to how these ancient cities and people saw their lives. It might also give others who wish to look at inspiring fictional ideas for future novelists.
